The Logo

The Logo is a stamp that will be created by dry point etching to raise awareness of the brand as well as my 6 hour practical. The stamp will be stamped onto people's old shirts to save funds and materials and then all profits made from creating the stamped T-shirts will go towards the aiding of beach clean up's and marine clean up's

The use of a stamp is cost effective as it is reusable saving costs on printing and remaking and designing of the logo. It also saves energy as no electricity is used in the process and it is all hand made requiring no technology to make the stamp

The use of old T-shirts instead of new T-shirts would save money on materials and the use of a stamp makes it portable and usable for all sorts of clothing items. It also allows the organisation to be in different places at different times, keeping the idea alive in an eco-friendly way

The money raised by this fund will go toward the Ocean Conservancy which does international beach clean ups, educates businesses and individuals on how to avoid throwing trash into the ocean. They also research and share information on how to sustain the environment

Possible Logo's

These Logo's (below) are my final two options for the final logo product.
The one on the left depicts a mermaid on a stop sign above the ocean. This is a more literal approach to the idea of stopping pollution in the ocean. The one on the right shows a mermaid being hung by humans in the ocean although crude this is effective in conveying a message.

My choice in using a circular shape rather than using a square or any linear geometric shape is due to a circle being more consumer friendly as it can then be used as other things such as car sticker holders etc.
